I found it really hard to find out any info about this - it looks like a great event but couldn’t even find mention of it in “the post” or anywhere else. Lack of advertising likely means not many people around town know about it!
Caroline,
Thanks for your comment and concern. It’s always difficult to get the balance right on publicising the annual Sheet summer party as we have to be careful on being able to cope with the anticipated numbers of people attending. We have to adhere to the recent government legislation which requires increasingly complex and expensive “services” related to the number of people attending. We do tend to rely greatly on word of mouth which has always worked in the past as our events are always very popular. Even so I am aware that we did organise the following “publicity” : article in the Post 27th June and 4th July and in the Herald 27th June, mentioned on Delta local radio and on their website, posters in and around Sheet and in the Folly Market and a letter sent out to parents at Sheet Primary School + info. on this website !
I hope you managed to get to MacSheetstock - we would be very interested in yours and any one else’s comments on what they thought of the event - good or bad.
Trevor
When and where will pictures of MacSheetstock 2007 be up?
Ciaran,
At the moment I have some photos to load up when I can figure out how to compress them / use the website but they are of the afternoon’s activities and cover none of bands (including Saxon Black I’m afraid !). If I get photos of your band I’ll let you know when they are available. Hope you enjoyed the day.
