Wednesday, March 12th, 2008DofE 2007/2008 Award Presentation Evening at Hampton School
Wednesday, March 12th, 2008A number of participants from the Hampton Hill Duke of Edinburgh Award Group recieved their Awards tonight from The Mayor of Richmond.
It was really wonderful to see so many Young People recieving their awards.
Their were 9 Bronze Awards and 6 Silver Awards in total for the Hampton Hill DofE Award Group, with 8 of those being awarded in person this evening. Congratulations to all of them – well done!
The Mayor Cllr. Marc Cranfield-Adams said a few words and acknowledged the wonderful achievement of all those that had successfully completed their awards.
Moni Kenward (the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Officer for Richmond) went on to say that The Award is internationally recognised and is of significant benefit when applying for Jobs, College and University.
There were a number of display boards showing from a number of Award Groups in the Borough, including a great board for the Hampton Hill Group (many thanks to Katy W for all her hard work in putting this together).
Easter/Spring Fayre Photos
Saturday, March 8th, 2008
3HH held a very successful Easter/Spring Fayre today. Despite the very mixed weather outlook, we had lots of visitors supporting us.
Many thanks to all those who came along and supported us, and especially to those who helped pull this together.
A special mention of Thanks to Jo C, Jacqueline L and Samantha J for all their hard work. Very much appreciated. Well done!
The final amount raised on the day is around £ 800 – We have also applied to The Barclays £4£ Matched Giving Scheme and we are hopeful that this will at least double. This money raised will be a huge help towards our new minibus fund

A limited number of badges will also be available to buy as a ‘badge swap’ or memento or as a gift for others.

Making Sweets!
Saturday, March 1st, 2008Hmmm, lovely! The Scouts had to resist the urge to eat the ingredients as they created some wonderful looking sweets!

“Popcorn” and “Chocolate” take on the District
Saturday, March 1st, 2008Today saw Cubs from all over the Richmond Upon Thames District compete in the District Cub Challenge competition held at Teddington School. Despite the photographic evidence, there was more to it than simply shoving doughnuts down their necks!
3HH put in a determined and valiant performance with the “Popcorn” team coming in 9th and the “Chocolate” team being awarded 4th place! Well done everyone for giving it your best. Cubtastic!
Massive thanks to Sarah H and Laura T for looking after the teams during the afternoon.
